SARATOGA – Host, Sarah Rutan: When planning for a building project, it’s always a good idea to get a preliminary estimate on the proposed design. Today we’re in Saratoga with Diamond Certified Expert Contributor Cassady Monsen of Construction Services to learn more.

Diamond Certified Expert Contributor, Cassady Monsen: A really good tip when clients are starting to do the design process, what I really suggest is to make sure before the plans are too far along, to get a preliminary floor plan. And give it to the general contractor to do a preliminary estimate. This allows time to do value engineering so that you can make sure that before you get too far along in the design process, that your plan is on budget.
