RIPON − Host, Sarah Rutan: If you need to remove one or more panels from a window shutter in your home, you’ll be glad to know it’s easy to do. Today we’re in Ripon with Diamond Certified Expert Contributor Bob Calderara of Shutter City to learn how.

Diamond Certified Expert Contributor, Bob Calderara: Today, we’re going to do a shutter panel removal. You may need to remove a shutter panel to do some window cleaning, some painting, window repair, et cetera. So, this is how easy it is. All you really need is a nail set, and then you begin by pushing the hinge pin upward through the hitch. So, we do one at a time. Pull it completely out. There’s the third one. Now, the panel is free to pull out. I’ll rotate it towards the hinge, and there it is. Nice and easy without any damage, and it goes back up just as easy. Just set it back into the hinge. Make sure that you’ve got it in the frame. You can hear the magnets connect. Go ahead and attach your pins back in there. That’s it. You just replaced your panel.
