Paula McCormick: All About Service
"It’s a pleasure to work with our clientele here in Marin and help them find solutions to their vehicle issues.”

SAN RAFAEL – Paula McCormick didn’t originally plan on a career in the automotive industry, but her prior experience in the business gave her somewhere to land when her original plans fell through. “While pursuing a degree in criminal law, I was working for a car dealership as a warranty claims clerk and cashier,” she remembers. “I had planned to become a juvenile probation officer, but after entering the field, I discovered how emotionally trying it was and decided it wasn’t for me. Fortunately, because of my experience working at a dealership, I had something to fall back on.”

Today, as service manager of Toyota Marin, Paula says she enjoys dealing with customers in the dealership’s bustling atmosphere. “It’s very fast-paced here, which I appreciate because I like to stay busy. It’s a pleasure to work with our clientele here in Marin and help them find solutions to their vehicle issues.”

A longtime Bay Area resident, Paula lives in Napa with her husband, John, and she says most of her time outside of work is spent with family. “My husband and I have three children and four grandchildren who live locally, so we enjoy doing things with them, whether attending the grandkids’ sporting events or spending a day out in the Bolinas coastal area.”

When asked the first thing she’d do if she could retire tomorrow, Paula says besides continuing to spend time with family, she’d take the opportunity to travel some more. “There’s a lot of the United States we haven’t seen yet, so I think it would be fun to take a long cross-country road trip.”
